I have been reading The Dollar Stretcher for at least 10 years if not longer and I still find interesting money-saving information that makes sense. The Dollar Stretcher won’t tell you to do sutff like use permanent marker to make shoes look new for the third child in the family to wear them. Instead, you will find information you can really use, like how to avoid taking on your parent’s debt, how to keep your car running, and how to use credit if you should use credit at all. Why do people plant trees in a straight line? Other than in an extremely formal landscape, this looks weird. Trees planted in a straight line look like tree soldiers in the yard. This is something that really bugs me, and it is a peeve to many others who are into horticulture. It just looks strange.

I once read, “God doesn’t plant trees in a straight line, so why do people do it?”.

Stagger the planting of trees and you will get a nicer, more natural look.

Even after suffering from one heckuva poison ivy rash (ankle to shoulders) a few years back, I still forget what Poison Ivy looks like. Check out poison ivy photos from About Landscaping. He has some shots of poison ivy look-alikes as well.

Somewhat strange/amusing: I was looking for pictures of poison ivy on Morguefile.com (free images) and none of pix that came up when I searched for poison ivy have three leaves. The About Landscaping guide mentions many times that poison ivy has three clusters of leaves.
